Three wooden houses in the province of Bolzano

A triple success - sustainable, beautiful living

Harmonious: Adjacent to the historical complex of the "Neustift Monastery" in Vahrn near Brixen, an ensemble of three houses in timber construction was realised: called Ville B. The particular challenge was to find a synergy between tradition and modernity.

The new building blends harmoniously into the historic townscape

The architectural project envisaged the construction of three two-storey houses with identical dimensions. The roofs were realised in a traditional gable shape with a horizontal ridge, the exterior walls with a frame system with thermal insulation made of wood fibres. The rear-ventilated façade is clad with pre-greyed, vertical wooden slats in variable widths. For the ceiling between the ground floor and the first floor, a visible "board stack" system was used.
