Close to nature: During the restructuring and expansion in 2017, the 4-star Hotel Pfösl was wrapped in a new façade. This merges the various components into a unified complex that harmonises with the surrounding landscape. The project has received several awards for its architecture.
The project, planned by the Bressanone architectural office "bergmeisterwolf", included the restructuring, extension and construction of a new façade on the historic building of the hotel in Nova Ponente as well as the construction of three new chalets. The external appearance of the existing building was significantly changed. A featured façade construction in glulam made of dark larch integrates the natural hotel, located on the edge of the forest, even more into its natural surroundings made of local woods and gives the entire complex a new architectural form. Within the scope of the hotel extension, LignoAlp carried out the technical planning, joinery and installation of the façade construction and vertical façade cladding in brushed larch. All constructive parts of the façade were provided with special treatments to ensure the durability of the structures.
The "Naturhotel Pfösl was" awarded the "Hotel & Design Award 2017" in the category "Hotel/Architecture international" in April 2017 for the successful implementation of the concept. Further awards followed:
