Future-orientated: Together with Carron Bau srl, LignoAlp has realised the "Casanova" kindergarten and nursery in Bolzano. The timber construction is based on an underground reinforced concrete structure. The two above-ground storeys have a load-bearing structure made of cross-laminated timber elements.
The new building with two sections for the crèche (28 children) and four kindergarten sections (100 children) extends over a basement with kitchen, storage rooms, staff changing rooms, a ground floor with rooms for the children, offices and outdoor green areas and an upper floor with work and quiet rooms. The building was awarded CasaClima A and CasaClima School status for its particularly environmentally friendly and bioclimatic measures. The kindergarten and day nursery in the Kaiserau district thus offers even the youngest children the right environment for playing, growing and learning.
