"BabyLife" is the name of Milan's first "green" kindergarten, built in the new CityLife district. This district was built on the former exhibition grounds and is characterised by its architectural features and the perfect interplay between nature and the surroundings.
The project, conceived by the Milan-based architecture firm 02arch Studio, is based on a series of small cottages arranged in close relationship with the park's flora. This construction creates a palm tree shape that perfectly connects the enclosed spaces with the open spaces. Multi-layered cross laminated timber (X-Lam) was used for the load-bearing structure of the building.
